Jeremiah Morrow Finney is the seventh of ten children born to Elijah Finney and Nancy Crane Stewart. His wife, known as Lottie, is daughter of John Cleelan and Sarah Stewart. The Finney, Stewart and Cleelan families came to Green Township, Clark County, Ohio in the early 1800s. Jeremiah & Charlotte were married in 1851 and took up farming on Rife Rd. They had seven children, three of whom rest beside them, the other children are buried nearby with their wives. Longevity is one of this family’s traits; Jeremiah lived 88 years, Lottie 93, John 87, Laura 84. Jeremiah's brother, John, lived to be 85; their sister, Sarah, was 82.
